Man injured in early morning shooting
LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — Police say a man has been seriously injured in a shooting in Massachusetts.
The Lowell Sun reports the shooting happened around 2:20 a.m. Sunday in Lowell.
Police Capt. Paul Laferriere says police found a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The man was airlifted to a Boston hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Police say those involved in the shooting had been at The Village Smokehouse beforehand. Laferriere says the victim knew the shooter.
The identities of the victim and the suspect have not been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
