Man Accused Of Killing Father Pleads Not Guilty

November 28, 2018

WILKES-BARRE — A Larksville man charged with murdering his slumbering father pleaded not guilty to the charges Tuesday. Ulysses Edward Denman, 21, is accused of shooting his father, William Denman, 64, in the head because he was concerned his father would hurt his mother because of perceived infidelity. Ulysses Denman’s mother, Ellie Denman, returned from an overnight nursing shift to the family’s double-block house at 588-590 Washington Ave. in Larksville the morning of July 24 and found her husband dead on a couch. After Denman entered his plea, Luzerne County Judge William H. Amesbury set a trial date of April 8. Denman is being held without bail at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. — JAMES HALPIN
