MINOT, N.D. — A historical society has launched a $2 million fundraising campaign to move a museum off the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot. SENT: 270 words.


FARGO, N.D. — The family of a rural North Dakota horseman who died this month is raising money to maintain the herd of nearly 200 Nokota horses for which he cared. UPCOMING: 200 words.


MEDORA, N.D. — About 650 people are volunteering at Medora this summer, ushering at the musical, staffing the mini golf course and getting tables ready for pitchfork fondue. The volunteers, mostly retirees, spend a little over a week in Medora working at 16 venues. Volunteers pay their own way to Medora, but the Medora Foundation provides housing at the Spirit of Work Lodge and meals.
