NURSING HOME CITED

ANDERSON — A central Indiana nursing home and rehabilitation facility has been cited by the state after a resident suffered apparent heat exhaustion in May. The Indiana State Department of Health says a maintenance supervisor at Lindberg Crossing Senior Living in Anderson noted air conditioning units affecting one hall weren’t working on May 25, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, but the facility administrator wasn’t notified until May 29, the day after the holiday. — HELICOPTER CRASH-INVESTIGATION: A preliminary report on a mid-July helicopter crash near a small airport in central Indiana says the copter landed, fueled up and took off again before going down.

— SYNAGOGUE VANDALISM: Twelve digital billboards from South Bend to Mooresville are sending a message of support to a suburban Indianapolis synagogue that was the target of anti-Semitic graffiti.

— GIRL’S FUNERAL-DONATIONS: A central Indiana couple whose 5-year-old daughter died suddenly in July say they’re overwhelmed that local residents’ generosity helped pay for her funeral, burial and gravestone.

— NORTHEAST INDIANA BRANDING SURVEY: A regional development group wants to develop a brand, logo and tagline for an 11-county region in northeast Indiana anchored around Fort Wayne.
