DOVER, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man accused of killing another man outside a Rochester sports bar has been sentenced to up to seven years in prison.

WMUR-TV reports 43-year-old Eric Langlais, of Barnstead, was sentenced Wednesday to 3 ½ to seven years in prison. Langlais had previously been found guilty of negligent manslaughter in the 2016 beating death of 44-year-old James Unfonak, of Rochester.

Prosecutors say Langlais got into an argument with Unfonak at Gary's Sports Bar. Authorities say after the exchange, Langlais punched Unfonak once as he walked to his car.

Unfonak fell and hit his head on the ground. He died from his injuries.

During sentencing Langlais apologized to Ufonak's family for what happened.
