Takamura Takes Lead after Second Round of Yakult Ladies
MUNAKATA, Japan (AP) _ Japan’s Aki Takamura shot a 1-under-par 71 today to take a one-stroke lead after two rounds of the Yakult Ladies golf tournament.
Takamura, a three-time winner on the Japan LPGA tour, had two birdies and one bogey on the Fukuoka Kokusai Country Club course for a two-round total of 3-under 141.
Mayumi Murai shot the day’s best round of 69 and was one stroke back at 142. Another stroke behind at 143 was Chieko Nishida, who also shot a 69, and Kaori Harada, who carded a 70.
Kaori Imai had a 71 and was tied for fifth with first-round leader Akane Oshiro, who struggled to a 77, and South Korean Ko Woo-soon, who shot a 74.
