Little League: Archbald Slugs Way To Win
Colin Kearney had three hits, including two doubles, to lead Archbald to a 15-12 win over Green Ridge Friday in the District 32 9-11 all-star baseball elimination bracket final.
Brayden McConnell also had three hits for Archbald and KJ Mercatili and Travis Sharples each had a single and a double.
Jackson Keating had two hits, including a double, for Green Ridge and Owen Farro had a pair of singles.
Archbald will play at North Scranton on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the district championship.
District 32 Little League baseball
Jimmy Snyder had four hits, including a pair of doubles, to lead North Scranton to a 13-1 win over Carbino Club in the elimination bracket final.
P.J. Murphy had three hits, including a double, for the winners, Christopher George also had three hits, Brian Kellog and Robert McNally each had two hits and Jason Williams doubled. A.J. Levandoski struck out six to earn the win on the mound.
Drew Daiute doubled for Carbino Club.
North Scranton will play at Green Ridge in the
District 32 Junior League baseball
Michael Datto had two hits to lead Carbondale to a 7-3 win over Lakeland in the first game of a best-of-3 championship series.
Vinnie DePalma earned the win on the mound.
Game 2 will be Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Lakeland.
District 17 Junior League baseball
Michael Stanton had three hits, including a double, to lead Abington to an 18-1 win over South Scranton in the first game of a best-of-3 championship series.
Dominic Selvenis, Cole Vida and Camden Vaughn each had a single and a double for Abington and Brodie Robertson earned the win on the mound.
Paul Gammaitoni singled for South Scranton.
Game 2 will be Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Ackerly Field.
