Battery, assault among HPD incident reports

HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by police reports from the Huntington Police Department:

The Huntington Police Department listed nine new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the printout released by the department. However, the individual police reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Domestic assault, 2:30 a.m. Thursday, 1800 block of Buffington Avenue.

Strangulation, domestic battery, 10 p.m. Wednesday, West 4th Street and West 6th Avenue.

Battery, 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, 800 block of Virginia Avenue.

Battery, 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, 2100 block of Madison Avenue.

Possession of a controlled substance, persons prohibited from possessing firearms — misdemeanor, DUI less than 0.150, 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, 400 block of West 18th Street.

Open container, 10:44 a.m. Wednesday, 1000 block of Washington Avenue.

Breaking and entering auto, 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, 600 block of 17th Street.

Possession of marijuana, warrant service/execution, 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, 200 block of 9th Street.

Destruction of property — misdemeanor, 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, 2400 block of Harvey Road.
