1939-2018

Lois Irene Adams passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Beatrice Good Samaritan Society.

She was born in Auburn on Sept. 27, 1939, to Neal and Alma (Dovel) Banks. She worked as an operator and service representative for the Lincoln Telephone Company, and after her retirement, she worked in the Gage County Clerk’s Office and Wymore State Bank.

Lois enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings, collecting thimbles and owls, reading — especially all of Danielle Steel’s novels, and taking care of her dogs. But above all, Lois loved her family and attending any activities that her kids and grandkids were involved in.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Max Adams and spouse Janet of Norfolk, JoAnn Arington and spouse Bill of Humboldt, Rex Adams and spouse Jodi of Blue Springs, Dustin Adams and spouse Jonna of Wymore; a daughter-in-law, Jenny Adams of Blue Springs; her grandchildren, Wyatt (Kelli) Adams, Elizabeth (Daniel) Griffith, Cami (Barry) Erb, Dani (Jarrod) Snyder, Frosty (Tara) Adams, Cody (Stacie) Brown, Hunter and Dakota Adams, and Drake, Brock, Paxx, and Maverick Adams; her great-grandchildren, Kaode, Kenadi, Jack, Brooklyn, Justice, Kallen, Karley, Chance, Sawyer, Kai, Holden, Ryker, Walker, Kashton and Zane; a sister, Janet Keen; a sister-in-law, Doris Adams; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dean Banks; and a son, Jay Adams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a charitable donation toward the community’s youth to be made in Lois’s memory at a later date with the funeral home in charge. Sign Lois’s online register book at www.ghchapel.com.
