Local nonprofit to host luncheon honoring mothers in May
FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center is celebrating Mother’s Day a little early by hosting their 8th annual Mothers are Jewels luncheon at The Overlook in Atascocita at 10:30 a.m. on April 18.
The luncheon is open to the community and will feature Kyle Campbell, co-chair of the FamilyTime Shelter Task Force and Shane Johnson, a partner of KAustin & Associates.
During the luncheon, guests will have the option to purchase handcrafted jewelry from local artisans as well as peruse donated items included in the raffle and silent auction. This offers luncheon attendees the option to purchase gifts for the women in their life ahead of Mother’s Day.
“The Mothers Are Jewels committee members are very excited about FamilyTime’s Mother’s Day luncheon,” said Carolyn Wise, FamilyTime board member and co-chair of the luncheon. “Moms make us who we are and what better way for us to come together and honor motherhood while supporting FamilyTime in their efforts to assure no child loses their mom to a domestic violence situation.”
Tickets to the Mothers are Jewels luncheon is $65 per person. Sponsorships are still available.
