Mustangs beat Lions

NEEDLES — Calvary Chapel’s Lions baseball nearly succeeded in a second game comeback bid on Jack Hutcherson Field March 22; finally falling 10-9 to Needles’ Mustangs in the final inning of the NIAA 2A South League doubleheader. The Mustangs won the first game 15-6.

Nathan Parker pitched Game 1 and batted in three runs; Tyler White was credited with three RBIs, Landon Perritt with four.

Dillon Horn started on the mound in Game 2; Dawsen Yeager took over in the fourth inning. Despite an early 6-2 Mustang lead, the game was tied at eight in the top of the fifth; at nine in the top of the seventh and final inning.
