Wilkes-Barre Parking Tickets Can Now Be Paid Online
WILKES-BARRE — Residents and visitors who get a parking ticket in the city no longer have to travel to city hall or find a mail box to pay it.
The city has officially launched its online ticket payment option, which is linked on the city’s website, Mayor Tony George announced Friday.
“Residents and visitors have asked for this option for years. I am happy to add this time-saving feature as another citizen-focused service” George said in a news release.
Wilkes-Barre City partnered with City Hall Systems to provide the online convenience.
To pay a parking ticket online, residents must enter the ticket number and the vehicle license plate number to proceed to pay the ticket(s).
Online payments can be made by using a credit or debit card, or an electronic check. There is a non-refundable convenience fee of $0.50 for eCheck and 2.95 percent fee (minimum of $1) for credit and debit transactions. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards are accepted.
The online ticket payment website can be accessed directly at http://epay.cityhallsystems.com or through a link on the city’s website at http://www.wilkes-barre.city/parking.
