3 men charged in man’s slaying at Mohawk Valley home
FORT PLAN, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say they’ve charged three men in the slaying of a 29-year-old man in a Mohawk Valley community last month.
State police announced earlier this week that they and the Fort Plain Police Department in Montgomery County filed upgraded charges against three suspects: a 31-year-old man from Gloversville, a 33-year-old man from Johnstown and a 38-year-old man from Fort Plain.
Troopers say the Gloversville and Johnstown men are charged with second-degree murder in the death of Joshua Laveck, while the Johnstown man is charged with criminal facilitation.
Police say Laveck was found dead on the front porch of his home the morning of June 29 by Fort Plain police. Authorities haven’t released details on how he died.
All three men are being held in the county jail.
