A cool Monday, but a warm-up is coming: Cleveland, Akron weather

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The weather is turning colder again Monday, but another warm-up is on the way.

Sunday saw a high of 47 in Akron and 48 in Cleveland, both about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Monday will have a more “normal” feel in both cities. Cleveland will top out at about 35 degrees, with Akron in the same neighborhood. The highs will come around noon, with temperatures slowly falling through the day before dipping into the upper 20s in Cleveland and mid-20s in Akron overnight.

It will be cloudy but no rain or snow is expected in Cleveland today, although there is a slight chance of snow showers during the early evening. Akron has a slight chance of rain or snow showers during the late morning and early afternoon.

Sunshine is in the forecast Tuesday but it will remain chilly, with highs in the mid-30s. Wednesday will be partly to mostly sunny and highs will jump into the mid-40s.

By Thursday highs could reach 50 degrees, but it will be cloudy with a chance of rain.
