CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Forwards Keith Van Horn of New Jersey and P.J. Brown of Charlotte both missed Saturday night’s game between their two teams with different ailments.

Van Horn, New Jersey’s leading scorer and rebounder, missed the game with a stomach virus. Rookie Jason Collins started in his place.

Brown, the Hornets’ leading rebounder, was out with a sprained ankle. He was first injured early in Thursday’s win over the Golden State Warriors. Robert Traylor started for him.

They weren’t the only two starters out of the lineup for both teams.

The Nets were without Kenyon Martin, who was serving the first game of a two-game suspension for a flagrant foul and throwing a punch at Tracy McGrady during Friday night’s loss to Orlando. Rookie Richard Jefferson started for him.

Lee Nailon, who started the past 22 games in place of injured Jamal Mashburn, did not start for Charlotte because of a stomach ailment but was able to play. Stacey Augmon filled in for Nailon.
