Norfolk woman apprehended for arrest warrant and drugs

NORFOLK - A Norfolk woman with an outstanding arrest warrant and drugs in possession was apprehended last Friday morning.

According to Norfolk Police Captain Mike Bauer, while an officer was on regular patrol the officer checked the license plate of a vehicle and learned that the registered owner had an active Knox County arrest warrant.

The car stopped at a local business in the 800 block of Norfolk Avenue and the officer had contact with the driver who was identified as 30-year-old Coralee Jane Bedolla of Norfolk.

The Knox County warrant for no insurance and improper parking was confirmed and she was placed under arrest.

In a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers recovered a glass pipe with burnt residue from her purse which tested positive for methamphetamine.

She was questioned about methamphetamine usage and arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
