Yoga at Lowell Park
LOWELL -- Yoga is coming to Boarding House Park, all for a good cause this summer. Starting on Wednesday, July 11, there will be a weekly yoga class at Boarding House Park, located at 40 French St. The classes are free and donations will be accepted for local organizations. There will be a different local nonprofit beneficiary each week.
Attendees should bring a yoga mat.

In need of school supplies
WILMINGTON -- We’re One Wilmington is collecting school supplies for students who attend the Wilmington Public Schools throughout July.
The organization is collecting various items, including book bags, crayons, pens, pencils, index cards, folders, notebooks and more.

Warning off for N.H. lake
CONCORD, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services has removed a cyanobacteria lake warning issued on June 29 for Long Pond in Pelham, N.H. The advisory was issued based on visual evidence of accumulations of cyanobacteria at the beach, according to a release.

Roads get floodproofing
TEWKSBURY -- Shawsheen Street, between Main Street and Diane Drive, will be closed on Monday, July 9 due to flood proofing work scheduled to begin that day. The area is expected to be closed off to traffic for about six weeks.
Foster Road, Chandller Street and Main Street will be used as detour routes during this time. Residents are encouraged to avoid the area during that time.

Candidate hosts reception
TEWKSBURY -- Dave Robertson, a candidate in the 19th Middlesex District state representative race, will host a campaign reception next week.
Robertson, a Democratic candidate in the crowded race to fill late state Rep. Jim Miceli’s seat, will host the event at Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury on July 12.
The reception, which asks attendees to make a donation to Robertson’s campaign, runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
