Reader Recipe: Zingy Apple-Cabbage Salad

2 1/2 C. unpeeled red apples; coarsely chopped

1/2 C. lemon juice

5 C. finely shredded cabbage

1 C. mayonnaise

1/2 C. applesauce

1 tsp. prepared mustard

1/4 C. walnuts; coarsely chopped.

Toss lemon juice and apples. Add cabbage. Blend mayonnaise, applesauce and mustard. Pour over apples and cabbage. Toss gently. Garnish with nuts.
