Hit-and-run

Someone struck a vehicle that was legally parked on the right side of Sunshine Avenue, 120 feet east of Lynn Street, in Central City Borough on Sunday, according to state police.

The driver fled, leaving behind a broken driver’s side mirror and scratches on the parked car, police said.

Sign damaged

State police are investigating a damaged Somerset County Parks entrance sign to Somerset Lake in Somerset Township. The incident occurred over the weekend, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 814-445-4104.

Package stolen

State police are investigating an alleged theft of a Honeywell air purifier from Amazon, which was delivered by UPS at 242 Commonwealth Road in Jenner Township Nov. 29.

Someone walked onto the porch of the residence and grabbed the package and left in a sport-utility vehicle, police said. The purifier was valued at $200, police said.
