INTERSTATE 15 SHUT DOWN AT FORT HALL BECAUSE OF NUMEROUS WRECKS WITH MULTIPLE VICTIMS
FORT HALL — Emergency units are responding to multiple crashes on Interstate 15 in the area of the Fort Hall exit.
Idaho State Police said the interstate in the area of the wrecks has been shut down until further notice and motorists should avoid the area.
The crashes occurred around 1 p.m. Friday and might have been weather related. Multiple people are injured and ambulances from Fort Hall, Blackfoot and Pocatello are responding to the interstate. Reports indicate that some of the crash victims are trapped in their wrecked vehicles.
The names and conditions of those injured in the crashes haven’t yet been released by authorities.
Idaho State Police are expected to release more information soon including details on how the wrecks occurred.
