Cops: Shoplifter stole $1,000 worth of Old Navy clothes

HAMDEN - Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspected shoplifter who shoved off with $1,000 worth of Old Navy clothes.

On Tuesday, Hamden police release two photos of the man entering the store at 2335 Dixwell Ave.

Capt. Ronald Smith said in a release that the theft happened at approximately 3:45 p.m on Sept. 13.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5-feet,7 inches tall, with braided hair pulled back in a bun style and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

After leaving the store without paying for the clothes, the suspect fled from the area in a gray four-door sedan.
