Longmont Police Notes: Mail Carrier is Bitten

A mail carrier was bitten Friday in the area of Lincoln Place and Lincoln Street in Longmont. The dog was placed under quarantine.

At about 10:50 a.m. Friday , a Longmont police officer was assigned a warrant arrest in Longmont Municpal Court. A woman with an active municipal warrant for her arrest was then taken into custody. She posted bond and was released.

Longmont police on Thursday observed a 36-year-old woman operating a motor vehicle near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Main Street. Officers were aware that the woman’s license status was suspended. A warrant was written for her arrest.

Longmont officers responded to the 200 block of Ken Pratt Boulevard on Thursday reference a theft. A man was taken into custody. He was booked and released from the station.

On Thursday, Longmont police were called to the 1400 block of E. 3rd Avenue, reference a car break-in. The case is closed, due to the lack of suspect information.

Officers received a mandatory report via phone Thursday of a sexual assault that occurred somewhere in Longmont. The victim did not want police contact.
