Eye of the storm: Tracking Hurricane Florence and possible impact on Philly

This is the map issued Monday morning by the National Hurricane Center showing the probable path of Hurricane Florence.

Hurricane Florence is strengthening out in in the Atlantic Ocean and is on a probable path targeting the East Coast. Here’s the latest of what we know.

• Florence is a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. The National Hurricane Center says is strengthening and is expected to soon become a major storm — that is a Category 3 with sustained maximum sustained winds of 111 to 130 mph.
