Police seeking suspected office building thief

The Sugar Land Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate an alleged thief who recently broke into two office buildings about two miles apart and made away with a backpack full of cash and expensive electronics.

Images of the suspected thief were captured on security cameras video and detectives describe him as an African American man wearing blue jeans, a white polo shirt with stripes and a black Nike baseball cap. Police say the suspect stands roughly 6-foot-2 inches tall and is estimated to be between 40 and 55 years old. In the security camera video, the suspect can be seen walking in the hallway of an office building located at 14100 Southwest Freeway and later in a second office building at 2245 Texas Drive on Monday, August 14.

Detectives estimate the suspect was inside the office building located at 14100 Southwest Freeway for roughly 25 minutes before arriving at the second office building before 7 p.m. Security camera video show the suspect leaving the second office building around 8:30 p.m. with a black backpack and other items. Police officials say evidence of forced entry was found and electronics items were reported missing. Surveillance video shows the suspect returned to the office building at 14100 Southwest Freeway shortly before 9 p.m. and he is then seen leaving the building with a backpack at 10:40 p.m. Police say detectives again found evidence of forced entry into several offices and cash and electronics were reported missing.
