“Scrooge the Comedy’

MOUNT MORRIS – The 30th annual audience-participation production of “Scrooge the Comedy,” based loosely on Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” ends Saturday with an adults-only performance for those 21 and older at the Pines Playhouse at White Pines Inn, 6712 W. Pines Road.

Blues and Bluegrass

FRANKLIN GROVE – If it’s the third Friday of the month, it’s Blues and Bluegrass night at the H.I. Lincoln Building, 136 N. Elm St.

Open-stage acoustic gospel, folk, country, blues and bluegrass will be performed, beginning at 7 p.m.

Admission is free; donations are accepted to help with the upkeep of the historic building.

Songwriters open mic night

MOUNT MORRIS – Songwriters Open Mic runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Mount Morris Moose Family Center, 45 E. Hitt St.

Registration begins at 6:30; the order of singers will be drawn at 6:50. Each performer is allowed two songs and no more than 10 minutes; sound equipment is provided. All material must be original and family-friendly.
