TOPEKA, Kan. _ Many Kansas universities are seeing a drop in the number of enrolled international students, which education leaders said hurts campuses’ cultural diversity and school finances. The number of international students enrolled in Kansas Board of Regents colleges has declined by more than 11 percent since 2015, or roughly 1,560 students, the Topeka Capital-Journal reported.


ST. LOUIS _ A storm that dropped several inches of snow to parts of the Midwest over the weekend was heading toward the Northeast, where it could disrupt Monday morning commutes. Up to 8 inches (15 centimeters) of snow had fallen in parts of far western Kansas by Sunday morning. But most areas of Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri and Illinois that were within the path of the storm had gotten no more than a few inches of snow.

DALLAS _ Markis McDuffie had 15 points and nine rebounds as Wichita State defeated SMU 67-55 on Sunday. Dexter Dennis had 12 points and eight rebounds for Wichita State (15-13, 8-8 American Athletic Conference). Jamarius Burton added 10 points. Erik Stevenson had six assists for the visitors.


WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. _ Wake Forest athletic director Ron Wellman is retiring and the school has chosen former Tennessee AD John Currie to replace him. President Nathan Hatch announced the moves Sunday, saying Wellman will retire and Currie will start on May 1.
