MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — An explosion and fire has injured two employees at a manufacturer in southeast Minneapolis.
The fire broke out Wednesday at Metal-Matic Inc., a company that makes carbon steel tubes. Firefighters were called to the explosion around 2:45 p.m. and quickly put out a small fire.
The Minneapolis Fire Department says two employees were taken to a hospital with significant injuries. All other occupants safely evacuated the building.
