Charges filed in Byram assault
GREENWICH — An arrest warrant was served on a local man who allegedly used a knife while assaulting another person at residence in Byram.
The incident occurred on Dec. 8 in the west end of town, and police opened an investigation that led to the arrest on Thursday of Kevin Ramos-Mendoza, 22, of Delavan Avenue, Greenwich.
Ramos-Mendoza was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.
Bail was set at $100,000.
This was not the first encounter the suspect had with Greenwich police. In late 2017, he was charged strangulation, disorderly conduct, assault and unlawful restraint. He was also charged with conspiracy.
Those charges are still being adjudicated, according to court records.
