Cleveland City council makes future members official
The Cleveland City Council made it official and accepted the certificate of unopposed candidates by the City Secretary and consider ordinance declaring unopposed candidates in the May 4, 2019 general election, elected to office and canceling the election on March 19 at the monthly council member meeting.
Mayor Otis Cohn will retain his his position as mayor and city council member Marilyn Clay retains her position two seat as well.
Carolyn McWaters will take former council member Mike Penry’s position one seat.
Penry has decided to come out of retirement and will open Austin Bank in Cleveland.
McWaters will officially take her seat at city council during the May city council monthly meeting.
