Orchids and Onions: Thursday, August 9, 2018

August 10, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Onions to the letter stating totally made up elements of a country. They actually are population, territory, sovereignty, and government. Thanks for making up a definition. That is cute.

Orchids to the very helpful lady in the framing department of Hobby Lobby. She gave us great options for our framing needs and also let us know of an upcoming sale. Great customer service!

Orchids to the helpful man in the grout department of Lowe’s. He told us about grout stain that worked out wonderfully and was much less work and cheaper than replacing the grout.

Orchids to Brea Carter Warren for my amazing stylish haircut. You are truly an artist. Susan

Orchids to Dr. Schlect and his staff at Barnet Dulaney Perkins eye center for the best cataract removal experience I could have imagined.

Orchids to KW Construction for the awesome job installing our patio cover. They did it in little over a day and left the yard as clean as they found it.

Orchids to the gentleman who jump started my truck at Home Depot. Good thing I wasn’t driving a Ford.

Orchids to HRMC. I was there for 24 hours. Well-organized, efficient and friendly. I had eight tests, two blood pulls, and two x-rays read. The nurses were as nice and friendly when they left their 12-hour shift as when they began. My records are ready for my doctor.

Orchids to Bob and Sharon for our 49th wedding anniversary dinner. Meeting them for the first time and having a drink at the bar, we got our table and had a wonderful meal. We were told they had paid our bill.

Onions to the company. They quoted me for a unit that they originally installed. Under $100 to replace the filters. When they arrived the price was $250. Not good business,

Orchids to all students, parents, faculty and administration in the 2018/19 school year. Taher LHUSD Food Service looks forward to serving you. It’s going to be an awesome year!

Onions to not knowing it is against ordinances to feed birds. It’s a health hazard when large flocks gather and deposit their waste on homes. Then people poison them; dead birds in everyone’s yards. Birds can find their own food.

Orchids to Debbie and Randy, owners of Mail and Business Center. Such nice people and reliable in keeping their promises on all services, including shredding. Nicest staff too. Grateful for help, especially when I needed it.
