Ohio Matters podcast Season 1 finale - Sizing up Ohio’s possible 2020 contenders and more

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The first season of the Ohio Matters podcast is in the books, and so are the 2018 midterms.

So now’s a good a time as any to look forward to 2020, and the trio of Ohioans – Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan and outgoing Republican Gov. John Kasich — who are considering running for the White House.

We also discuss whether Ohio remains a relevant presidential target for Democrats in the aftermath of the November elections, which Republicans dominated for the third cycle, the recipe that has led to sustained GOP success and whether a change in leadership is in store for the Ohio Democratic Party.

Ohio Matters is the weekly politics podcast from cleveland.com, in which our political team brings you interviews with key Ohio political figures and insiders from around the state. We’re taking a break for the remainder of 2018 as we re-tool for the coming political year.

Past episodes of Ohio Matters can be found here and include Republican governor-elect Mike DeWine, Brown and Auditor-elect Keith Faber.
