Man shot to death near South Carolina beach bathroom
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — One man has been killed and two people are being questioned after a shooting near a public bathroom close to a South Carolina beach.
Myrtle Beach Police Lt. Joey Crosby told news outlets that officers were called to the rest room a block off Ocean Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. Thursday to a report of a shooting.
Crosby said officers found the victim, who was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center, where he died shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler said the victim was 24-year-old Sylvester Bellamy Jr. of Myrtle Beach. Fowler said an autopsy is planned.
Police took two men into custody. Their names have not been released and there is no word if charges have been filed.
