East and West sides of Cleveland to come together on Lorain-Carnegie Bridge

CLEVELAND, Ohio – As part of a summer-long program to promote unity in Cleveland, the city will hold “Hands across the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge” on Friday to link people from the East and West sides.

The event will run from noon to 2 p.m. on the bridge and feature a variety of entertainment acts and vendors.

Throughout the summer, the city has held events as part of Hands Across CLE – a campaign aimed at joining residents together from the East Side and the West Side.

The goal is to make Cleveland stronger and safer by making connections among diverse neighborhoods and promoting friendships.

Friday’s activities on the bridge culminate those efforts.

The event is free and open to the public.
