HOUSTON (AP) — Orlando City got its first win in Major League Soccer with a little help from its opponent, the Houston Dynamo.

Houston goalkeeper Tyler Deric scored an own goal after failing to clear the ball in the 74th minute to give Orlando a 1-0 victory, its first of its debut season in the league.

Pedro Ribeiro forced the action that led to the goal, stopping Deric's attempt to clear the ball and then racing around the keeper to try to score in the open net. Deric wrapped his arm around Ribeiro's head and tackled him into the net with the ball.

Deric's blunder overshadowed a couple of crucial saves against Brazil international Kaka in the 41st and 65th minutes.
