Middleton Ferrari crash victims identified
MIDDLETON, Mass. (AP) — The driver of a Ferrari that crashed in Middleton last weekend, killing himself and his passenger, has been identified as the president of a chain of auto dealerships.
Authorities say 50-year-old Michael Iovanna, of Middleton, was the driver of the luxury sports car that crashed into a tree and burst into flames on a narrow country road on Sunday night.
Iovanna’s passenger, 40-year-old Chester Hincman, of Danvers, also died. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Iovanna was president of Pride Motor Group, which has several dealerships north of Boston.
The crash remains under investigation but police who responded to the scene said speed appears to have played a factor.
