LONDON (AP) _ Prime Minister Tony Blair shuffled his Cabinet Thursday, appointing new ministers to the key education and Northern Ireland posts, officials said.
John Reid, who held the difficult Northern Ireland job, was named chairman of the governing Labor Party. He will be replaced by Paul Murphy, who was Welsh Secretary.
Charles Clarke, who was Labor chairman, will take over the troubled education ministry after the surprise resignation Wednesday of Estelle Morris.
No immediate replacement was named for Murphy.
