Harlem Globetrotters trot back to Spokane Arena with their magical hoops show

November 23, 2018

When the first notes of “Sweet Georgia Brown” start to play, you know the fun is about to begin.

Since 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters, decked out in red, white and blue uniforms, have combined true athleticism with comedic timing and record-breaking tricks to entertain viewers young and old.

The Harlem Globetrotters return to the Spokane Arena on Thursday.

Yes, there is actual basketball being played during a Globetrotters game, but for the most part, the group is more focused on tricking its opponents, the Washington Generals, the exasperated referees, and, sometimes, members of the audience.

To get a closer look at how the Globetrotters do what they do, consider purchasing a Magic Pass, which includes 30 minutes of on-the-court time with the Globetrotters shooting hoops, learning tricks, and getting autographs and photos.

If you go: 7 p.m. Thursday; Spokane Arena, 720 W. Mallon Ave.; $25-$103. Magic Pass is an additional $22. Tickets available through TicketsWest.
