Gladys L. Ferguson, 92, of Plant City, Fla., and formerly of Bourbonnais, passed away May 1, 2019, at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon, Fla.
She was born May 24, 1926, in Joliet, the daughter of Fred and Eunice (Hool) LeRoy.
Gladys married Gordon Ferguson. He preceded her in death in 1970.
She was the former owner of the Wedding Bell and also worked at Sears.
Gladys enjoyed reading and attending College Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a son, Rodney Ferguson, of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie (John) Wheeldon, of Valrico, Fla.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie; two sisters, Blanch Warriner and May Summers; and a brother, Alfred LeRoy.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday, May 10, until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel. The Rev. Jared Richey will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Kankakee Memorial Gardens in Aroma Township.
