Michael L. Billingsley, 77, of Bradley, passed away Sunday (Nov. 4, 2018) at his home, with his loving family by his side.
He was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Bloomington, the son of Lenneth and Helen Dipple Billingsley. Michael married Roxanne Hack Billingsley in Bradley.
Michael retired from Ford Motor Company’s Chicago Stamping Plant were he worked as a millwright.
He served our county in the U.S. Air Force.
Mike loved fishing, reading, debating politics and fixing everything that needed to be fixed. He loved his daughter and grandsons more than anything, as they also love him. Mike will be missed by so many, his family said.
Surviving are a daughter, Martha Billingsley Kennedy, of Bradley; sisters, Barbara Odom, of Foosland, Ellen Redman, of West Linn, Ore., and Kathryn (Herb) Ruth, of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother, Tom (Lori) Billingsley, of Bosie, Idaho; two grandsons, Andrew Dean Kennedy, of Bradley, and Nickolos John Brownsey, of Bradley; his mother; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife; and his father.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, until the 7 p.m. celebration of life at Jensen Funeral Home, 1200 N. Convent, Suite B, Bourbonnais. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in Mound Grove Cemetery, Kankakee.
