ERFURT, Germany (AP) _ At least one gunman opened fire inside a high school Friday in the eastern German city of Erfurt, killing two teachers and a police officer who was among the first to arrive at the scene, police said.
Six people were injured in the shooting, said Simone Schnell, a spokeswoman for the police in Erfurt. Schnell could not say if there were children among those wounded in the Gutenberg Gymnasium school.
Schnell said there could be more than one assailant. At least one gunman had barricaded himself in a classroom in the school, which was sealed off by police, she said.
