FRANKLIN GROVE Culvert work will bring Route 38 to one lane
FRANKLIN GROVE – A section of state Route 38 will be down to one lane beginning Monday as crews begin to replace a culvert in the drainage ditch at North Spring Street.
Widening work is expected to take 2 weeks, during which time flaggers will direct traffic through daytime lane closures. The road will be reduced to one lane and temporary traffic signals will be in place after that, the Illinois Department of Transportation said in a news release.
The $783,000 project is scheduled to be completed by early August.
