Smash-and-grab suspect stole $2,500 in Steelers gear

Pittsburgh police are searching for a man who broke into a store on the North Shore and stole $2,500 worth of Steelers shirts.

Someone smashed a glass door and stole $2,500 worth of Steelers gear at a North Shore shop this week, police said.

The smash and grab happened at The Pittsburgh Fan on Federal Street, near PNC Park, about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to Public Safety spokeswoman Alicia George.

The man, recorded on a security camera, threw a rock through the glass door. He made off with several Steelers shirts valued at about $2,500, George said.
