Woman charged in fatal crash faces plea hearing
BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire woman charged with second-degree murder stemming from a crash that killed a neighbor and seriously injured another is scheduled for a plea hearing next month.
Police arrested 38-year-old Catrina Costello, of Seabrook, last year on a charge of fatally striking 64-year-old Stephen VanDalinda and injuring his wife, 61-year-old Erin. Seacoastonline.com reports Costello’s plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled for Aug. 21.
Costello is being held without bail. She lived next to the VanDalindas, who had acquired a stalking order of protection against her before the crash.
Attorneys haven’t commented on the terms of the plea.
Costello also was charged with two counts of second-degree assault, aggravated driving while intoxicated, conduct after an accident, and three counts of violation of a stalking order of protection.
