Scranton native and former Penn State standout Matt McGloin made the Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster on the final day of cuts Saturday. The six-year quarterback played three preseason games for the Chiefs, completing 25 of 36 passes for 221 yards with a touchdown and an interception. McGloin beat out undrafted rookie and Marshall University graduate Chase Litton for the third-string spot. Kansas City general manager and Mount Carmel native Brett Veach said the Chiefs hope to keep Litton on the practice squad. McGloin will serve as the No. 3 quarterback to starter Patrick Mahomes II and Chad Henne. The Chiefs open the season next Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
