Frustaci Babies Stable, May Leave Hospital in September
ORANGE, Calif. (AP) _ The three surviving Frustaci septuplets, 12 weeks old today, need to gain more weight to leave the hospital next month, a hospital official said.
The infants remain in stable condition in the hospital’s newborn intensive- care unit and are expected to go home by mid-September, Doug Wood, a spokesman for Children’s Hospital of Orange County, said Monday.
The seven babies were born 12 weeks premature on May 21. One was stillborn and three died between May 24 and June 9.
At the request of parents Patti and Samuel Frustaci of Riverside, no additional details are being given out on infants Stephen, Richard and Patricia Ann, Wood said.
