Man wanted in wife’s slaying arrested after manhunt

September 25, 2018

MARSHFIELD, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say a Massachusetts man suspected of killing his wife and then evading a police dragnet has been arrested.

The office of Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz says 47-year-old Allen Warner was arrested Tuesday after he was spotted by an officer in a stolen truck.

Cruz identified the victim as 48-year-old Shana Warner.

Cruz says she called police shortly before 6 p.m. Monday and said she was being followed in a car by her soon-to-be ex-husband. He said officers responded immediately and found the woman in a car off the road in Marshfield with serious injuries to her face. She died at the hospital.

Warner is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in the Plymouth District Court. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
