Sheriff’s deputy hit by vehicle, injured
BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (AP) — Brattleboro, Vermont, police say a deputy sheriff conducting traffic control has been hit by vehicle and seriously injured.
Police say the crash happened Monday around 1:45 p.m. Authorities say the deputy was struck by a vehicle towing a car hauler as it was turning onto the Interstate 91 southbound ramp.
Police said the crash is under investigation and no enforcement action has been taken against the driver at this time. The driver is from Connecticut.
Police say the sheriff’s deputy suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
