TORONTO (AP) _ Toronto Raptors point guard Alvin Williams, who played in every game last season despite knee troubles, had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Paul Marks performed the procedure Monday at a Toronto hospital, the Raptors announced Tuesday.

Williams was the only Raptor to play in all 82 regular-season games, averaging a career-best 11.8 points and team-leading 5.7 assists.

The Raptors’ season ended on May 2 with an 85-82 loss to the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
