2 men arrested in Home Depot shoplifting case
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Two Flint men have been arrested in connection with a shoplifting at an Oakland County Home Depot in which a customer fired shots at the fleeing getaway vehicle.
The 52-year-old and 46-year-old suspects are expected to face retail fraud charges in connection with theft of more than $1,000 in merchandise from the Auburn Hills store. Their names were not released.
A Clarkston woman shot at an SUV on Tuesday as it was leaving the parking lot. The television station says one of the SUV’s tires was flattened.
The woman has a concealed weapon permit, but police say she apparently wasn’t being threatened by the shoplifter. She could face charges in the incident.
Two weeks ago, a man shot a bank robber as he fled with cash in another Detroit suburb.
