Aiken teen charged with armed robbery
An Aiken teen was charged Thursday in connection to an armed robbery involving a 17-year-old outside the Lucky 7 store on Hampton Avenue in 2017.
Toby Terell Fuewell, 17, of Abbeville Avenue, is charged with two counts of armed robbery, pointing and presenting a firearm at a person and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records.
On Aug. 9, 2017, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Lucky 7 around 10:18 p.m. and met with the victim who said he had been sitting in his car outside the store counting his money, when two suspects approached his car, according to the report.
The victim said one suspect came to his driver’s window, while the second went to the passenger side and was holding a pistol at his side, the report states.
The first suspect reached through the victim’s window and snatched his money, both suspects then fled the area, according to the report.
Investigators retrieved security videos from the store.
Fuewell was arrested Thursday and taken to the Aiken County detention center, where he is still being held Friday.
